This page explains how rights holders can notify us of claimed copyright infringement, what a valid notice must contain, and how we handle every complaint we receive. We accept notices under the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and, as a service operated for Canadian users, we also honour Canada's Notice and Notice regime under the Copyright Act.
1. Our Copyright Position
Digiwave IPTV takes claims of copyright infringement seriously and responds to every valid notice of alleged violation. If you believe that content available in connection with our service infringes a copyright you own or represent, notify us using the process below so we can investigate and take appropriate action, which may include removing or disabling access to the material in question.
2. How to File a Copyright Notice
For your notice to be valid and processed quickly, include all four of the following:
Your contact information
- Full legal name of the copyright owner or authorized agent
- Email address and phone number
- Physical mailing address
Identification of the copyrighted work
Describe the work you believe has been infringed clearly enough for us to identify it — title, rights holder, and registration details if available. For multiple works, a representative list is acceptable.
Location of the allegedly infringing material
Tell us exactly where the material appears in connection with our service — URLs, channel names, program titles, timestamps, or any identifying details. The more precise the location, the faster our review.
Required legal statements & signature
- A statement of your good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
- A statement that the information in the notice is accurate
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you are the owner or authorized to act on the owner's behalf
- Your physical or electronic signature
3. Our Review Process
- Acknowledgement — we confirm receipt of your notice within 24 hours.
- Validation — our team checks the notice for completeness. Incomplete notices are returned with a clear list of what is missing, so you can resubmit without starting over.
- Investigation & action — valid complaints are investigated promptly and appropriate action is taken in accordance with applicable copyright law. You are informed of the outcome.
4. Counter-Notification
If material you posted or provided was removed or disabled in response to a copyright notice and you believe this was a mistake or misidentification, you may submit a written counter-notification. It must include your contact details, identification of the removed material and its prior location, a statement under penalty of perjury of your good-faith belief that the removal was erroneous, your consent to the jurisdiction of the applicable courts, and your signature. On receiving a valid counter-notification, we follow the process set out in applicable law, which may include restoring the material unless the original complainant initiates legal proceedings.
5. Repeat Infringers
In appropriate circumstances, Digiwave IPTV terminates the accounts of users determined to be repeat infringers, consistent with our Terms of Use.
6. Where to Send Your Notice
Email your complete notice to our designated copyright agent at contact@digiwaveiptv.ca with the subject line "DMCA Notice" or "Copyright Notice". Using this subject line routes your message to priority handling and starts the 24-hour clock immediately.
